2. The Firm Does Not Provide Legal Advice on this Site
The purpose of this Site is to provide you with information about Cote Law, Larry P. Cote, Esq. and his area of practice an overview of the Firm’s experience, and Cote Law’s availability for professional employment. The Firm also may provide general information about current developments in the law that may be of interest to you. The Firm does not use this Site to provide legal advice to you and the Firm does not use this Site to offer or establish an attorney-client relationship with you. DO NOT send the Firm any information concerning any potential legal matter or situation until you speak with Larry P. Cote first and get authorization to send the information as directed by him. An unauthorized email sent to Larry P. Cote or the Firm will not be a confidential attorney-client communication and will not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client representation is established only through the Firm’s formal client acceptance and agreement process.

Information on this Site about clients and matters handled by Larry P. Cote was current as of the date of publication, and is subject to change since that time. Past representation of a company or individual does not indicate that that company or individual is currently a client of the Firm. Experience described on Larry P. Cote’s biography may date from employment prior to Cote Law.
5. Site Content Ownership; Use of Materials
This Site and all of its content, and all intellectual property rights included in or associated with the Site, including, but not limited to patents, copyrights, trademarks, service marks, logos and trade secrets (collectively “Content”) are either owned by Cote Law or owned by others and licensed to the Firm. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ANY REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE, AND COTE LAW’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU HEREUNDER, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, SHALL NOT EXCEED $50.
14. Exclusions and Limitations
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, SOME OF THE LIMITATIONS IN THE SECTION ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the internal substantive laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. All disputes arising out of or with respect to these Terms of Use or the Site brought by you shall be heard exclusively in the courts, state and Federal, located in the District of Columbia and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts. Regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action (whether arising in contract or tort, law or equity) by you must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.
16. Miscellaneous
The Firm’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms of Use, and any the web pages or other documents incorporated by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and Cote Law with respect to the subject matter hereof.
